Eldest Son of Pato and Haise Stron, Galnur was raised in a large family of outcasts who were excommunicated from their village when witchcraft was accused toward Haise. Seeking redemption and reinstatement of his family name, Galnur enlisted in the local militia and was sent to battle with little to no training. He learned the art of survival on his own with the exception of assistance from a veteran called Elcoff. The two grew to be mentor and student as well as good friends.
Galnur was in the final battle against Jormag where he endured a four month deep winter seige. He returned to his village a defeated hero just in time to help them vacate their home and head South. Still shunned, they managed a slightly better life due to Galnur's service to the people in wartime. He is one of the founders of the Great Lodge of Hoelbrak due to his reputation in the war against the Ice Dragon and diligence and integrity as a leader.
This now gentle giant has set his destiny on the road to protecting others. As a guardian, he defends those who are close to him as well as those generally in need. Warding off his former vice of heavy drink, he now devotes himself to uplifting others instead of delivering pain in the vanquishing of all enemies. But don't push him too far or you will see his ire.

"This race of towering hunters experienced a great defeat when the Ice Dragon drove them from their glacial homeland. Nevertheless, they won't let one lost battle--however punishing--dampen their enthusiasm for life and the hunt. They know that only the ultimate victor achieves legendary rewards."
"Guardian: Favors Melee. Supports Allies. Defensive Magic. Guardians gain powerful personal enhancements from their virtues, which they can briefly expend to aid friends or damage foes. Formidable on their own, guardians shine brightest in the company of allies"
"As a symbol of my dedication, I wear the Visionary's Helm. Tyria is bigger than we know and filled with mystery. This helm is open, allowing me to see with clarity. With it, I seek out the world's greater truths that others fear to explore."
"Trouble may follow me, but I use my dignity to overcome it. I am dignified even when up to my ears in mud. It's what makes people respect me. A serious, thoughtful demeanor is the route to success."
"My most important quality is that I have the necessary cunning to protect the spirits. It is my duty to protect the Spirits of the Wild, and it requires cunning to keep them safe from the Ice Dragon."
"At a recent celebratory moot held in Hoelbrak, I blacked out. Ale! Rowdy brawling! It's far too easy to let loose in the thrill of the moment. After I woke up, I couldn't remember what I'd done. I'm sure it was nothing too terrible."
"When I was still a kid, I had a vision. A Spirit of the Wild spoke to me and offered its guardianship. That Spirit was the Bear. Bear is the most powerul among the Spirits of the Wild. She is a symbol of fortitude and self-reliance. She roared over me when I was a babe, and ever since, I've had Bear's courage in my heart."
"Though trouble may follow me, I overcome it with dignity. Bear, my spirit guide, teaches that there is a time to be forceful and a time to be gentle. I rely on cunning to protect myself and my allies. And yet, in the past, I've been careless. I overindulged in merriment at a moot and woke up the next morning with no memory of what I'd done. It's a mystery I must solve."
"I am a guardian. I have the Helm and the curiosity of a visionary. This is my story."
